Featured Sermon – Surprised by Joy: the Savior is Born

In the Season of Advent that led up to Christmas, we explored the theme, Surprised by Joy: Stories of New Birth. For four weeks, we listened closely to the family members of Jesus in the first chapter of the Gospel of Luke. Through the experiences of Zechariah (husband of Elizabeth), Elizabeth (cousin of Mary), Mary (mother of Jesus), and John (cousin of Jesus), we discovered the surprising joys that enter into our lives through new birth. This sermon preached on Christmas Eve at OSLC is the culmination of this series the proclaims the birth of the Savior.
