Community Outreach for Upcoming Thanksgiving & Christmas Giving
The Community Outreach Committee will be collecting for several organizations in the community the next few months.
Starting with a Thanksgiving “Giving” Tree Sunday, November 7, we will be collecting gifts cards for the Issaquah Food Bank Holiday Gift Barn. While they will not be holding the usual Holiday Gift Barn, they will be giving families gift cards to do their own shopping for their children. They need $25.00 gift cards to Target, Fred Meyer, Walmart and Amazon. There are 2 ways to give…
- Please take a leaf from the Thanksgiving Tree in the Narthex and purchase any number of gift cards from the stores listed. Drop the purchased gift cards in the basket next to the tree by Sunday, November 21.
- Read the following flier on how to donate online.
Starting Sunday, November 25 after Thanksgiving, our Christmas “Giving” Tree will be collecting gift cards for the teens at Vine Maple Place. Vine Maple Place is an organization in Renton that helps homeless families. Take an ornament and purchase a gift card, or two, for Starbucks or McDonalds, in $10.00 dollar amounts. Drop the purchased gift cards in the box next to the tree. Please drop them in the box by Sunday, December 12. Teens will have an opportunity to spend time with their friends at these places.
Sunday, December 5 and Sunday, December 12 we will be collecting Winter Coats for the Issaquah Food Bank and Toys for Eastside Baby Corner. Issaquah Clothing Bank is needing new warm coats, all sizes, kids to adults. Eastside Baby Corner is looking for toys small enough to put in a backpack. Suggested toys are puzzles, books, baby dolls, building blocks, stacking toys and small cars.
The Community will appreciate all your love and generosity this Christmas Season.
