Sunday, April 7, 2024: Is Doubt Bad? John 20:19-31
Many people think of faith as an activity. Something we choose to do, or not to do. There is a faith statement, a church dogma, or a theological teaching set before you; and you, like an athlete in the gym, grab a barbell with that gravity-defying look on your face. Like that athlete, you grab that teaching, dogma, or statement and then you push it up and believe it. This is a spiritual act of reality-denying determination that is like pushing 500 pounds up in the air. You roar and fight and sweat and curse and get purple in the face because that weight keeps pushing back. But is this really what faith is about? 11:00 am Parsonage Open House
For the congregation to be able to tour the parsonage before the Baumanns move in, there will be an Open House on April 7 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. during Coffee & Fellowship Hour. We hope you can come see all the work that’s been done to make the parsonage a lovely, up-to-date house.
