The church has a role in shaping public discourse and serving the community. The church is not separate from politics but is a political entity that equips its members to go out into the world to serve their neighbors. It is important to live out our faith in the world, following the example of Jesus and Martin Luther, and being willing to challenge the status quo in pursuit of justice and love.
