Easter Stories According to St. Matthew: “A New Day”
Through Easter, everything is made new! It is like a spiritual rebirth. A chance to free ourselves from bondage to death, sin, guilt, shame, and trauma. It is a new day. We can be new people, focusing not on what is going wrong, but on what is going right in our lives. Jesus overcame the most cruel and shameful death on the cross on this day. And he took us with him through the valley of the shadow of death to the glorious morning of the empty tomb. We are forgiven. We are alive. We are in Christ, all equally beloved by God.
