Welcome!
Welcome to longtime Lutherans, Christians from other traditions and people new to the faith. Welcome to all who have no church home, want to follow Christ, have doubts, or do not believe. Welcome to new visitors and old friends. Welcome to people of every age and size, color and culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, and ability. This is a place where you are welcome to celebrate and sorrow, rejoice and recover. This is a place where lives are made new. Welcome!
If you’re new to OSLC or just checking out the website, we are glad you are here! We would like to invite you to join us for worship Sunday at 10am, either in person or via YouTube. To assist you in getting to know this community here are a few answers to questions we are commonly asked.
I’m new to OSLC – how do I get started?
Simple. Join us Sunday morning at 10am for worship! If you are joining us in person, introduce yourself to one of the pastors, or another member of the staff. Once we get to know you, we can best help you learn more about OSLC, and whether or not you want to make this place your home. After worship, join us for coffee and conversation in Anderson Hall.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. We do not have a dress code. Most people dress fairly casually, wearing tee shirts and jeans.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Masks are welcome but not required.
Is childcare provided?
No, but we have a small play/reading area just outside the worship space so that you can still hear the service while your children are entertained. We also have a full nursery that is available for use during worship. When you arrive, ask a greeter to help you find it.
What activities can I get involved in?
OSLC offers a number of different activities to get involved in depending on your interest. They include:
- Weekly Education
- Women’s Bible Study and other small groups
- Mission Quilters
- Prayer Shawl Knitters/Crocheters
- Chancel and Memorial Bell Choirs
- Community Meals Preparation
- Global Missions
