Grace and Peace, Our Savior Lutheran Family and Friends,
First and most importantly, please add this congregational petition to your heartfelt prayers for the crisis that is unfolding out of Minneapolis:
God of Power and Grace, how easily we forget that our need for peace and justice is kept in tenuous balance every day of our lives. Comfort those who are suffering from the outbreak of police injustice and community violence in Minneapolis. Give wisdom and courage to the leaders of this city, and across the nation, as they work to calm the anger, and end the violence, among their people. And open our eyes to the depth and pain of racial imbalance in all its forms. God of Mercy, hear our prayer.
As we celebrate the Festival of Pentecost, God releases his powerful Holy Spirit into our lives when we need it most.

As always, please stay healthy and active while you wait out our community response to the pandemic. And thank you for your prayers, for each other and for the church; and for your financial support of the congregation.
Be Well and of Good Cheer,
Pastor Jim
