February 23, 2025, Luke 6:27-38: Love Your Enemy
This is one of those gospel passages that just seems to require far too much. If somebody hits you in the face, offer your other cheek for more abuse? If somebody tries to take away your stuff, give away even more? When someone forces you to do something, go ahead and double your effort? This is like you are the skinny 7-year-old taking punches from your gang of school bullies, and you ask for more! Bullies, rejoice!
Or – might this passage be about something different? Does it show us a way to deal with cruelty and injustice which truly transforms victimized and bullies alike?

11:30 am Introductory Book Study Meeting
Pr. Olaf will facilitate the introductory meeting of the One Day I Wrote Back Book Study in Anderson Hall. The six sessions of the book study will be held at noon on Thursdays, February 27-April 3 in Anderson Hall. Next Thursday, February 27 is the first session.
