The Season of Lent begins each year on Ash Wednesday (March 5 for 2014) and takes us all the way up to the day of Easter (April 20 for 2014). This is a period of 40 days (not counting Sundays, which are considered a mini celebration of Easter each week) that reminds us of the 40 days that Jesus spent in the wilderness where he fasted and was tempted.
At OSLC this year, we are focusing on the theme “Tending to the Core” during the Season of Lent. Together, we will explore some of the core practices and foundations of our faith. This focus will play out in a variety of ways. Here are some of the opportunities:
- Sunday Morning worship (8:30 & 11 AM)
- Sunday book study (9:45 AM) More info…
- Wednesday suppers (5:30-6:45 PM) More info…
- Wednesday Vespers worship (7 PM) More info…
Check the calendar for complete information on dates and times of our Lenten worship services and other opportunities. We hope you join us this Season of Lent, as we tend to the core of our faith in Christ.
