August 3, 2025, Luke 12:13-21: Order and Chaos
This sermon explores how God created humanity for community, justice, and compassion, but warns that these divine intentions are constantly undermined by the chaotic forces of selfishness, inequality, and spiritual decay. Drawing from Genesis, rabbinic commentary, behavioral science, and modern social research, the sermon illustrates how injustice—whether in ancient scripture or rigged Monopoly games—corrupts both victims and beneficiaries. How do we, as Christians, choose love and justice in the face of chaos, even when the world teaches us to turn away?
