Christmas Eve, Luke 2:1-36: “Peace Be With You”
In Jesus, the word of God became flesh. The historical person of Jesus walked among us. Like all humans who ever lived, he endured the full spectrum of the human condition. He experienced the joy of life, he laughed, he cried, he suffered, and he died. God chose to walk this earth in the person of Jesus Christ, who was not nobility or a king, but, as most people who ever lived, God in Christ was a poor man who could not escape the hardships of living. In Christ, God became fully human. Through Christ’s life, death, and resurrection the desire of God for his created beings to live in peace and justice has been revealed.
You all are invited to find peace in your hearts in these difficult times at the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 7 PM, 745 Front St. S, Issaquah and on YouTube.
Peace be with you!
– Pr. Olaf
