Salt. Light. Not superiority—but responsibility. Jesus’ familiar words sound triumphant, even flattering—until we realize that faith becomes true not by winning arguments or dividing the world into “us” and “them,” but by living as agents of grace in a fractured, binary age. Salt and light have less to do with shining brighter—and more to do with loving better.
