During the summer months, we gather for one worship service each Sunday at 9:30 am (May 25th through August 31st). The Season of Lent begins each year on Ash Wednesday (March 5 for 2014) and takes us all the way up to the day of Easter (April 20 for 2014). This is a period of 40 days (not counting Sundays, which are considered a mini celebration of Easter each week) that reminds us of the 40 days that Jesus spent in the wilderness where he fasted and was tempted.
