John 11:1-45 and Ezekiel 37:1-14
When slogans fail, what remains? When life becomes difficult—when war, illness, or loss confront us—easy answers disappear. The prophet Ezekiel sees dry bones come to life, and Jesus calls Lazarus out of the tomb. These stories are not sentimental miracles but confrontations with death itself.
This Sunday we reflect on the difference between cheap grace of partisanship and culture wars, and living hope—and why the cross still challenges us before it comforts us.
